Chennai, Feb 27 A major fire broke out this morning at a wood depot at Choolai area here reducing stocks worth lakhs to ashes, Fire department officials said.
However, no immediate casualty was reported, they said.
Six fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the flames, the cause of which was yet to be ascertained.
Plywood and plastics were also stored in the depot, police said.
