E-mail Print PDF

The ‘Avatar’ mania has been spreading across all corners of the state despite the current political turmoil and as expected, this has drawn the attention of the piracy racketeers as well. It is heard that the film was uploaded in the famous Youtube site at one point and later on was removed.

Right now, the markets in India are seeing a rise in the wave of piracy cds, DVDs of the film. It is said that the pirated copies are being made in bulk numbers and the film is being sold at a throw away price of Rs 10 per CD and Rs 15 per DVD.

Though there are takers for such versions, many say that the real effect of the film can be felt only by watching it on the screens. However, the damage is definitely being done for the makers due to piracy and it is about time the authorities take some stern action against such practices.
