Two die of swine flu in Gujarat, toll touches 42

Ahmedabad, Nov 9 Two women, who had tested positive for swine flu, died in Gujarat today taking the death toll due to the H1N1 infection in the state to 42, health officials said.

Hemlata Rajvat (40), hailing from Gandhigham in Kutch district, died at the civil hospital here, they said. She was admitted to the hospital on November 7.

Another woman -- Bhanuben Pariya (30) -- from Sirohi district of Rajasthan, who was admitted to V S Hospital here, succumbed to the disease earlier in the day.

According to health officials, four more people have tested positive for swine flu in the state, taking the total number of people infected with the swine flu virus to 292, out of which 42 have died.
