Kolkata, Feb 18 Panic spread among passengers of the 2872 Rourkela-Howrah Ispat Express when a bomb-like object was detected in a toilet of one of the coaches this evening, South Eastern Railway sources said.
The train was travelling between Jhargram and Sardia around 5.10 PM when a passenger noticed a bomb-like object in the toilet ceiling of a second class chair coach, they said.
The passenger immediately alerted the train escort party who, in turn, alerted the guard.
When the train reached Kharagpur station, the coach was detached for a closer examination. The train left for Howrah at 7.10 PM after being thoroughly searched, they added.
