Madurai, Feb 14 Acclaimed Tamil film director Bharathiraja today advised youngsters not to go crazy about film stars and desist from worshipping them.

"Go to theatre and see movies just to enjoy. Cinema is a very good entertainment and you can spend your time. But you should not worship the heroes or heroines," he said at a cultural programme organised by Yadava College here.

Bharathiraja, credited with introducing several new faces who later went on to become stars, asked the fans not to organise 'palabishekam' (milk bathing) or perform 'aarathi' before the cut-outs of heroes, a common sight before cinema theatres in the state whenever a new film of stars is released.

While education is essential for students as it brings change, art brings out their talents in acting, dance and other fields.

"Art will help to locate the unique talent of every person. I was not educated.
