Lamborghini catches fire at Chennai airport, engine damaged

CHENNAI: Tense moments prevailed at the airport's cargo complex on Monday when a Lamborghini car, kept ready for loading on to an Emirates cargo flight, caught fire.

Sources said the Lamborghini Gallardo car was on a trolley when the mishap occurred around 6.30am. The engine was gutted.

Hacking exposes Rs 500 cr land row

MUMBAI: A case of cyber hacking has magnified into a bitter property dispute over a prime nine-acre plot in Oshiwara estimated to be worth over Rs 500 crore.

When builder Uday Jasani tried to access three of his personal email accounts last month and realised someone had hacked into them, he approached the cyber cell of the Mumbai crime branch and lodged a complaint.

Mumbai, Nov 21  Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan today assured a delegation that he would look into their demand of making attacks on media a non-bailable offence, in the backdrop of the attack on IBN-Lokmat Marathi TV channel office.

A delegation led by Rajya Sabha member Vijay Darda and senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai met Chavan at his official residence Varsha in Malabar Hill this afternoon.

MUMBAI: Accommodation couldn’t be provided to the 30-odd SRPF personnel stationed at the Gateway of India on Friday despite police commissioner D Sivanandan’s assurance that the matter was being taken up on a ‘‘war footing’’.

Several jawans rolled out their bedding on the pavement near the chowky for the second night in a row, complaining how the new-found attention to their plight had actually cost them the comfort of the four walls of the Grade 1 heritage monument.
