Telugu Naadodigal costlier than Tamil version

The remake of Naadodigal in Telugu, titled Shambo Shiva Shambo has hit the floors. While the film was made with a budget of Rs. 3 crores in Tamil, the Telugu version is proving to be costly for its producer Bellamkonda Suresh.

From what we hear from our sources, Shambo Shiva Shambo’s budget has already crossed over Rs. 16 crores. The buzz is that the huge pay packets that each of the star in the film including the hero Ravi Teja, Siva Balaji, and Allari Naresh, contributed to the rise in the budget. Further, our sources say that the film’s director Samuthirakani has hiked his pay to Rs. 1 crore.

he craze to remake Rajini films is getting bigger. The recent inclusion to the list is ‘Johnny’, a cult hit directed by Mahendran that featured the Superstar in a dual role- an intelligent thief and an innocent barber.

If sources are to be believed, the Selva-Jeevan combo, which worked together for ‘Naan Avan Illai’ and ‘Thotta’, would come together to remake the 1980s film. Shooting would commence once they complete their third venture ‘Naan Avan Illai-II’, which is currently on floors.
